I would be extremely wary about using this breakers yard.
On the week beginning 11/01/10 I phoned Tam after looking up breakers yards online, and he assured me he could supply parts for my P-reg Fiat Ulysse. I phoned several times and each time he had not been able to check properly because of the snow.
But it started to thaw and I made arrangements to go out and get the parts I need (a door handle, rear light and wing mirror) on Sunday 17 January 2010.
When I got there the parts still had not been salvaged and I waited 1+1/2 hours in Tam's yard in my Fiat Ulysse and he checked it several times whilst he got the parts.
He had a light but it was in worse conditiion than mine, and he sold me a wing mirror and door handle that worked in a different way to the door handle on my car for £45 but Tam assured me these parts would fit and work fine, I bowed to his "professional expertise" and handed over the £45.
The next morning I took these parts to my Fiat dealership where I was getting the work done. They told me neither part was any use. The wing mirror was electirc and my car is a maual and the door handle would not work.
I rang Tam and offered to swap them for another part if it was suitable, after another week of calls it was determined that the part was not what I wanted and I asked for a refund and he flat out refused, though he did offer me a credit note!!!!
In the meantime I got the parts I needed within 2 days off ebay after one phonecall. They never saw my car and were friendly and efficient.
An extremely upset, disappointed and £45 worse off, Jeannette.
